Editorial Manifesto
Between Plan and Place is a practice-based urban research journal documenting metropolitan planning as it is experienced from within public institutions.
This journal exists to examine the space between planning theory and implementation. It is written by a practicing urban planner working at the metropolitan scale, and it focuses on how spatial strategies, governance arrangements, and funding mechanisms are translated into real territorial outcomes.
The journal treats professional practice not only as work, but as a source of empirical material for research and critical inquiry.
